Charitable Outreach and Vocations
"As we grow with God, we learn from each other"

Ukraine Appeal

Thanks to the generosity of our wider school community, we were able to fill a lorry heading to Poland to support Ukrainian Refugees.

Raffle for St Chad's Sanctuary

Our Chaplaincy Team have worked hard to raffle off some Easter eggs! The money raised will go to St Chad's Sanctuary.

Foodbank Donations

When we heard that our local foodbank had run out of food, we knew we had to do something about it!  Our Chaplaincy Team helped carry all of our donations to the foodbank and even assisted a member of the public unload their donations.

Hearts for Homes

At Christmas time we decided to spread hope and joy throughout our community by taking part in the ‘Hearts for Homes’ campaign.  Children filled a heart template with messages, pictures and even jokes to lift the spirits of residents of our local nursing homes.

Cards for Lilian

We heard about an appeal for a woman named Lilian.  She lives in a local nursing home and had no family to help her celebrate her 100th birthday! We at St Dunstan's couldn't let her birthday go unmarked, so the children created birthday cards to send to Lilian to let her know she wasn't alone on her birthday.

Happy 100th birthday Lilian!

Local Litter Pick

Our Chaplaincy Team decided to live out the virtues by being active whilst being stewards of God’s creation. Before the day had even started, they went on a litter pick along the road outside of our school. All the rubbish found was collected and disposed of, making the road look a lot nicer for us and those in our community!

Lenten Book Sale 2021

This Lent, we decided to raise money for our local foodbank whilst also promoting our love of literature by holding a book sale.  We had hundreds of books kindly donated by our school community, which we then sold throughout Lent. It was beautiful to see such generosity and we’ll update you soon on the total raised!
