What is E-Safety?
E-Safety highlights the importance of educating our children about the benefits, risk and responsibilities of using a wide range of technology both in and out of school.
E-Safety promotes the safeguarding of children and young people in the digital world. It makes sure that children know how to use technology in a safe and positive way.
Protection at School
When in school, your child is protected in many ways.
Each child will bring home a School Internet Acceptable Use Agreement which is talked about in school and should be discussed at home as well. Parents and children then sign the agreement to say that they agree to use the internet safely and appropriately in school. You can download a copy of the KS1 agreement here and the KS2 agreement here.
Protection at Home
Please ensure that your children are using age appropriate games and apps when using the internet at home. A reminder that, in line with age restrictions, no children within our school should be using social media sites. Children under 13 MUST NOT be using social media sites ie Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter.
One way to make browsing the internet safer at home is to use a 'safe search' search engine. Below are links to search engines designed for children to use on the internet.
