iPad Apps
As I am sure your children have told you, we now have a lot of iPads in school. We are using them to support and enhance learning across a range of subjects and topics as well as improving our ICT skills.
iPads and iPhones are becoming increasingly popular in our home lives and many of the children have access to them on a regular basis during evenings and weekends.
On this page we will continue to update the apps we are using in school so that perhaps the children will get the opportunity to use them at home as well as at school.

ABC Pocket Phonics
A good app to help children with learning letter sounds (phonics) and practicing the letter shapes. Teach Your Monster to Read This App has just been recommended by the DfE and is currently free to download. The app is really good for supporting early phonics and reading, please down load on home devices and have a play. Useful you tube channel to support the app: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMH9nytqJHcHp3PzLYXth3Q |
Bee-Bot
With the changes in the Computing Curriculum this app is fantastic for helping to develop programming skills. You have create a simple algorithm (set of instructions) using directional arrows to get the Bee-bot from one place to another. It's also fantastic for supporting Key Stage 1 children with their understanding of positional language |
