Our planned open days have now finished. If you are moving into the area, or considering moving your child/children to St Dunstan's, please contact the school office, who will be happy to arrange an appointment for you to visit the school. 0121 464 4648
Open Days will be held in the Autumn term for parents applying for Reception and Nursery places in September 2027.
Reception Applications

Reception Applications to start school in September 2026
Children start school in September after their fourth birthday.
1. Apply online to Birmingham Schools Reception Admissions
2. Complete and return our school's Supplementary Information Form (below) to the school office with evidence of your child's baptismal certificate if they are a Catholic child. Only complete applications will be accepted. Please remember to complete both processes.
- Closing date for applications: 15 January 2026
- Offers will be made on: 16 April 2026
- Online applicants who submit their application using a valid email address will receive an offer from Birmingham City Council by email on 16 April 2026. Parents/carers who submit an online application without a valid email address will receive an offer letter by first-class post on 16 April 2025, which should be delivered by the end of that week. Finally, please remember that you do not need an internet connection at home. You can apply online from any device with internet access.
Nursery Applications
Nursery Applications to start in September 2026
Children start nursery in September after their third birthday.
1. Complete and return our Nursery application form (below) to the school office, with evidence of your home address and your child's birth and baptismal certificates. Only complete applications will be accepted.
- Closing date for applications: 10th February 2026
- Offers will be made: 24th February 2026
Government Free Childcare Entitlement
St Dunstan's Catholic School offers three full days of nursery provision (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8.50 – 3.15 pm), funded by the Government's 15-hour universal entitlement. If your child is eligible for 30 hours of free childcare, you can use the remaining 15 hours of 'extended entitlement' with another provider.

Year 6 Transition to Secondary School September 2026
If you applied online and have provided an email address, Birmingham City Council will email you on Monday, 2 March 2026, to tell you which secondary school your child has been offered.
They will also send you a formal offer letter by 1st-class post on Monday, 2 March 2026, which you will receive from 3 March 2025.
The offer letter will explain how to accept or decline the offer.
